22nd of September: Guided city walk from 2:30 PM

The meeting point for the walk is “Átrium mozi” (Budapest, II. Margit körút 55.) (Two minute walk from the conference venue) where we meet at 14:30 with our tour guide, Balázs Lévay.

The walk is approximately 2 hours long and focuses on the second part of the 20th century history of the country and the city. We are going to explore the inner city (V. district), visiting the most famous buildings as well as absolute hidden and commonly not known places. The walk ends at “Deák Ferenc tér”, where you can take metro 1, 2 and 3 and several trams and buses.

The walk is free of charge, but on 20th evening we will ask you about your willingness to participate. It is recommended to take an umbrella with you. It is also recommended to have a day ticket for the day, because, though we will cover a relatively small area, occasionally we will rely on public transport.

Single, day and other types of tickets can be bought in the violet coloured boxes in stops and also by the app of the BKK https://bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/prices/. You can validate you on-line tickets while boarding outside at the front door of the bus or tram by scanning the code.
