Venue and other information Hannover 2026

The workshop will take place at the Hannover Medical University 16.-18. September, approximately 20 minutes from Hannover Main Railway Station. Further details on the lecture hall will be sent to the registered participants.

Catering and Dinners

Thanks to the support of the Medical Sociology at the Hannover Medical School, the following will be covered for all registered participants:

 ·         Coffee in the morning and during afternoon breaks

·         Light lunch on Thursday and Friday

 Wednesday networking dinner will take place at Wirtshaus in the City of Hanover (not covered by the organizers).

Pre-booked Hotels

During the week of our workshop, a major trade fair will also be taking place in Hanover. As a result, hotel availability will be limited and room rates are likely to be higher than usual. We therefore recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible.

To assist you, we have prepared a list of hotels and other accommodation options in Hanover and the surrounding area, all of which can be reached from Hannover Medical School by public transport (see https://www.eaps.nl/files/1784108503_hmmwg2026-hannover-hotellist.pdf).

Please notice: If you use Booking.com to make your reservation, please check whether the accommodation is offered by a private host or a commercial provider, as many private hosts rent out rooms during the trade fair period. Please also note that some accommodations offer shared rooms with multiple beds and shared bathroom facilities. While this may be a suitable option for some guests, we recommend checking the accommodation details carefully before making your reservation. We would not recommend to book a hotel in the region around Herschelstraße, Odeonstraße, Ludwigstraße – these hotels might be still available, however they are situated in the red-light district.
